Outside Mask Policy and Testing

June 15, 2020

All Salm Partners,

This memo is two update you on two topics:

  1. Outside the building mask policy
  2. Testing reminder

Outside the building mask policy

As of today, partners will no longer be required to wear masks outside the building (for example, in the parking lot) as long as they remain six feet apart.  If we can maintain social distance outside, we will be able to keep this policy. In the event we see that partners are not staying 6 feet apart, we will need to reconsider. This applies to partners smoking as well. The mask policy is not changing inside the plant. Masks must be worn at all times except when eating and drinking. Thank you for following both these policies, as masks and maintaining six feet of social distance are two important defenses against COVID-19 in our plant.

Also, we have received complaints from neighbors regarding masks being blown into their yards. If you have a clean mask and are going on break, please keep it and put it on prior to entering the building. If you are leaving for the day, please throw away the mask in one of the trash bins right as you leave the building. This will reduce litter and help us keep friendly relations with our neighbors.

COVID-19 Testing

Thank you to those that participated in last week's testing.  We tested 170 partners, which was a great start to the round.  The rest of the Round 3 mandatory testing schedule is below:
