Yesterday, the State of Wisconsin officially announced food production workers are in the next vaccine rollout phase (Phase 1b). The expected start date for Phase 1b is around March 1st. This date may move based on vaccine availability, but it is only 33 days away!

Salm Partners has received results for the free, voluntary COVID-19 testing provide to all employees. Over a period of several days employees were tested at two Denmark facilities. Testing was arranged and procured by Salm Partners and executed with support from Brown County Health.

Today, all partners of Salm Partners will have the option for voluntary, free COVID-19 testing at the company’s Denmark location. Salm Partners is not being required to provide testing; it is a proactive measure to ensure the safety and good health of all partners.

Salm Partners will be offering voluntary COVID-19 testing to all partners free of charge Friday April 24th. Hourly partners will receive an extra hour of straight time pay as a thank you for taking the test.

Brown County Health officials have identified employees of Salm Partners as testing positive for COVID-19. Out of the 500 individuals employed at the plant’s Denmark facility, 10 full time employees have been diagnosed with the coronavirus over the last three weeks. None have been confirmed as contracting the virus while at work and these individuals have been on paid leave since they felt ill from symptoms.

Our team at Salm Partners in Denmark, Wisconsin, conducted a wage study and were able to increase the minimum wage for our food production job positions to stay competitive with industry standards.

Our team at Salm Partners conducted another wage study to stay competitive with potential partners' current needs within the food production industry. We re-evaluated the existing minimum pay for the palletizers, production worker, and machine operator positions and established another pay increase.
