All Salm Partners,
We are grateful for all you are doing to help all our partners stay healthy and continue to serve our external partners. This letter is to inform you about two initiatives we are starting as of next week in recognition of your outstanding efforts:
In order to support our partners in the event they become sick with COVID-19 or have to self-quarantine due to exposure to COVID-19, we are rolling out an extension to our paid time off policy. If you have a qualifying circumstance, you will be eligible for up to 80 hours of paid sick leave at 75% of your normal hourly wage (base pay plus shift differential and backup pay). You may have heard about the Federal government program which pays companies with less than 500 people to provide Emergency Paid Sick Leave. While Salm Partners does not qualify for this program due to having more than 500 partners, we feel strongly that it is the right thing to do to offer similar support.
You can find a copy of the policy at: COVID-19 Hourly Paid Leave Policy .
In order to further recognize your extraordinary efforts to support each other, our customers, and our country, we are starting a Resilience Bonus in the amount of $200 per month ($100 for part-time) during the COVID-19 situation. The Q2 performance bonus (Jan – Mar) will be paid on April 9th, and then we will temporarily suspend the quarterly performance bonus while the Resilience Bonus is active.
You can details of the bonus at: Salm Partners Resilience Bonus
You will continue to see changes both in your physical environment and in programs offered in our ongoing efforts to protect your health and our nation’s food supply. Thanks for being a partner and for all you are doing during this difficult time.
